    Introduction
Here goes my open letter to my friends and loved un's on the cusp of 2012.
The letter is broken into three main sections covering England, America and Holland, and it may help to know that I lived in England 1976-2000, America 2000-2005 (more or less) and Holland 2007-2012. May I express my deepest gratitude, from soil to sky and the stars, for all the love, patience and friendly feedback I have been fortunate to receive to inspire our new Global Village. I must have forgot to include many people in my list, please forgive me, I'll have you in for next year's list, or maybe for Mardi Gras Roll call, who knows?

    FAMILY RELATIVES
To my Grandma Pearce, who, at 89 years old (today: 25th December 2011) shows a wise smile and sharp wit that shapes my outlook on life, born in Ireland on Christmas Day of the year that Ulysses by James Joyce was published and Finnegans Wake undertook. I recall reading the first page of my first ever encounter with a Novel at her house in Gloucester: ‘It’ by Stephen King. “It walked through the pine tree’s…”. I love you Grandma and cherish every visit and holiday and meal spent together. Your cheerful optimism warms me, and it always makes me laugh when Mum suddenly turns on an Irish accent when talking to you.
To my Irish Grandad I never met, Mr. Hutchinson I believe; well, writing to your spirit everywhere I should say...I would have enjoyed your printing press and typesetting interest, and, had I grew-up in Ireland, I may have developed great interest in some of the material you printed, and shared a glass of whisky with you. Top of the morning to you, sir!
To my English Grandad Jimmy Pratt, also in spirit everywhere, and to my beloved Grandma Pratt; my Birmingham based grand-parents from my fathers side, and the most visited family members during my youth: I love you, and I remember you coming to see me swim on one particular occasion, and being able to see you both while in the water. How can I ever forget those distinct cups of tea, and the warmest of hugs, next to your woolly cardigan, next to the fire, sitting on a long fluffy-white rug. And seeing and holding Grandad’s medals for his service in the 'desert rats' during world War II. To Eric Pierce, my percieved Grandad from my mum's side, and who acted as my Grandad; thanks for taking me to the forrest of Dean and making me my first ever bow and arrow out of a branch and some string, for taking me to see the great River seven with 'Pip' the Jack Russel.
To my aunties and Uncles also in the everywhere state beyond the body, thanks for the time and attention you gave me, the unquestioning support and encouragement a child of 6-14 years old programmes into their world-view, expanding just outside of the closest core family members. To my uncle Ken and Aunty Betty, and to uncle Bob, and the Irish Uncles and Aunties I never knew, sleep well and may you awake when you wish. To my namesake Steven, who died so tragically from his school tie caught on a wardrobe; I owe you everything, my name...I would have loved to have played football and games with you. Rest in peace here in memory.
To my Mother, Adelaide Victoria Pratt, my very much alive and cycling Irish mother and wisdom teacher, who breast fed me, changed dirty nappies, fed me, clothed me, put up with fads and crazy craze's and has supported me in nigh-on everything I do. Mum…your tolerance and your honesty are second to none in my experience. Every aspect of the great mother lives with you, interest in cosmology, nutrition, music, laughter and your sons and daughter, and grand-sons life and work and heart. Here’s a toast to you mum, I love you, and thank you for your kind patience. Our family adventures in Spain encapsulate the perfect and most idyllic memories of family life, for me, in the 1980’s, the photographs pay testament to this, sorry for sticking tongue out and pulling faces on most of the early ones. Mwah.
To my Father, 71 years old and with a head of hair to make any man jealous of a similar age, I give my fullest respect and deepest sympathies for having a Son that thinks for himself so much that he left the home roost at a relatively early age, and has been a somewhat 'free bird' ever since. I imagine both my mother and Father would like it, perhaps, if their son lived in relatively close proximity to them, not over in America or Holland, even so, I would like to address this and say that without the distance between us I could never have put my heart and fullest meaning into these words and into the others that I write, sincerity. To my father...I must highlight the sporting wisdom he passed onto me which includes any and all of the courage and competitive edge I developed through my early swimming exploits: 1984-1991. And so, today, I carry the will to success and a competitiveness that I hope you can see in this letter. Think big and wide. Be kind. You have provided everything for both Vicki and I for over 40 years, and worked every day of the week for 50, and yet, you have shown us the value of balance, steady as a rock, without booze or cigarettes or dope, no vices but...reading the newspaper and watching TV. I love you dad, forever and always.
To my Sister, Victoria Louise Harris; wife to my bro’ in law Danny, and the sweetest mother of two most beautiful young boys, George; 5 months old, and Sam; 5 years old. My sister and room-mate from zero to about 16 years old in our once family home, located at 15 Sorrel Walk, Brierley Hill (near Stourbridge) in the West Midlands. My big sister introduced me to all the hip things to life early on in the 80's, electronic music, and later some DJ clubs, cool art and a 'street credibility. My sister really taught me how to party, yes, and gave me an early taste for DJ music and mix tapes from the emerging 'Rave scene' and House music clubs, along with the flyers that I remeber she once decorated her entire bedroom wall with, and that fascinated and inspired me so much. All my love. To my Cousin’s Blair and Jennifer and to Nathan: Cool cousins, much love, and peace.

Santa and the Shaman at the Hawks Well
Adapted from "At the Hawk's Well" by W.B Yeats, by DJ Plush.
    SYNOPSIS:
Atop a baron Mountain the old shaman has been waiting for 52 years to drink the miraculous well water. ‘Santa Claws heard a tale from a siberian tribe that the water-brew may bring immortality and arrives to sip a sap. The Shaman urges ‘Santa’ to leave recalling his spent time waiting for the water and the fact that when it did finally arise he fell asleep, missing it.Yet Santa is determined to stay and drink.
While they talk of an entity which attacked Santa earlier that day when climbing the mountain, and which the old man believes is a phantasm' that carries with it a curse of irritability and violence and unspeakable horror, the guardian of the Well hears them and starts to shake, falls into a trance and rises again, dancing with bird-like motions. The guardian flees from the well as the water rises up and Santa and the Shaman fall into a trance.
Santa pursues the guardian entity to the mountain, half awake, and unable to find the guardian so he returns to the well, to hear the Shaman say that he missed the waters while searching. Santa goes into a ‘Christmas 'warp' Spasm’ of rage and runs off to battle with the warrior demons that the guardian called out of the mountains. Santa the somewhat foolish and heroic figure ignores the wise man's plea to stay with him, and to not go and face war, again.
    TOC-SANTA-AT-THE-HAWKS-WELLSANTA AT THE HAWKS WELL
Musicians Singing Chorus: Eye call to the eye of the mind, a well long choked up, dry places of thorny leaves and dried up stones, a red bearded face comes climbing up the mountain side with the salt wind, sweeping the mountain face bare and raw.
[unfolding of the two cloths A: Black and Gold hawk cloth to be hung. B: Blue well cloth to be placed on the floor.]
Musicians singing Chorus: What were his life soon done with tears, win or loose, sink or swim, doubled over a speckled shin, what worth are my hopes and fears?
Musician: The Golden Boughs of the Witch Hazel shake, the sun goes down, belladonna in the west breast awake.
Musician: speaking: The mountain side grows dark with MING, the withered Hazel leaves choke the dry bed of the well, the guardian of the well sits upon the dry grey stone at its side, the guardian is worn out from collecting the leaves and raking the dry bed, her heavy eyes look upon grey stone. The salt wind blows a heap of leaves up to her side, they rustle and diminish.
Musician: I am afraid of this place.
Both Musicians: singing: Why should I sleep, for the wind from all quarters, the salt wind and sea mist is beating a cloud through the skies, I would always wonder like that wind.
Musician: The old Shaman climbs up hither, who has been watching the well for 52 years. Doubled and twisted up with age like the old thorn trees among the rocks where he is climbing.
[Old man enters stage to beat of drum, sits and makes gesture of making a fire. Lights project silhouette as fire is struck.]
Musician: He builds a fire from wych-hazel sticks and leaves, the fire lights up the well, the Hazel nuts and the mountainside.
Musicians: O’ salt and sea wind, nothing to find, I think I’ll sleep deep. The sidhe must have a guardian to clean out the well, why do you stare like that, speak to me. You drive an old man crazy with that look in your eyes, that look in your eyes.
    [Santa enters through audience]
Santa: Then speak to me, youth is more patient than old age, I have trod rocks all day and I still haven’t found what I’m looking for.
    Shaman: Who speaks?
Santa: “I am ‘Santa Claws’ Cu Chulain’s son, Grandson to Lugh-Ra. I have ancient Ice palace beyond the sea.
Shaman: ‘What brings you here to the well, you that go crazy to shed blood and go mad for the love of women?
Santa: I got high at my turntables, found a boat, set sail on the godly sea with lucky wind, and arrived across waves by Vico’s recirculation, here, by luck, at these shores.
Shaman: No warriors to slay, and no maidens to lay among these hills boy.
Santa: You exhibit rough and barbarous Tongue Fu Old man, cut the crap and lead me to the well, where the Soma nuts and Hazel leaves brew a miraculous elixir, and where a beautiful bird like Maiden keeps watch.
Shaman: But young boy, what do you see around you?
    Santa: I see no well.
Shaman: O’ folly of youth, you think such a gift can be found by getting high, sailing a ship and climbing a mountain? If I have waited 52 years for the miraculous brew to bubble up, why would it rise just for you?
Santa: The well fills at soma moment.
Shaman: A secret moment, a razzle-dazzle tin flash, and not a living man can grasp it’s plash’ before it is gone.
Santa: I shall sit and wait, with the Luck of Lugh-Ra and Cu Chulain.
Shaman: NO, Go, go, GO from this accursed place! This place belongs to me the girls and the noon blue apples.
Santa: Who are you, to lay claim to this place?
Shaman: I am who the dancers cheat for 52 years, I came as young boy like you, waiting a dry well’s edge, drinking rain, eating grass and fungus. Three times I awoke from a sudden sleep to find the stones wet.
Santa: My luck is strong, besides, I can pierce my seven toed foot, or my seven fingered hand with this nail if I get drowsy.
Shaman: No, do not pierce it. Find your sail and lucky wind again, leave the well to me young warrior, for it belongs to me and the great old ones and to all that’s old and withered Goo.
    Santa: No, I stay
Guardian of the well: Shriek of searing bird like sound (Coleman Hawkins Saxophone trills)
Santa: There is that Serpent Hawk again.
    Shaman: There is no bird!
Santa: It sounded like a bird to me. I encountered a giant fire-bird earlier today, after pelting it with stones it just vanished.
Shaman: Young Santa, there falls a curse on all who look at the shape shifting witch of the mountain in the eye, a curse that brings unspeakable horrors, you must leave at once, while you have eyes and can walk.
Santa: Are you under her spell too, here to scare me off, like a crow?
Guardian of the well: Shrieking of various birds of prey.
Santa: That cry, there it is again, that women made it, but why does she cry as the hawk cries?
Shaman: She is possessed, who knows who she will murder or betray before she awakes in ingnorance of it all, gathers the Hazel leaves, but they’ll be wet. Water come and gone. O, you must get gone, at any moment the brew will bubble up. I am old and withered, if you are good you will leave it, maybe only a cup will bubble up?
Santa: I’ll take it in my hands, old man, we can drink together, even if only a few drops we shall share them.
Shaman: But swear that I may drink first, the young are greedy, you’ll drink it all. Oh, the look of her eyes, I cannot bare that HAWKS stare.
Guardian of the well: Shrieks, and throws off her cloak to reveal a HAWK Serpent costume.
Santa: Why do you look like that Witch, Bird, women, I am not afraid of you. Do what you will, I shall not leave this place till I have grown immortal like you.
Guardian of the well: Shrieks and dances a wild Red Indian, Hindu, Japanese bird dance. The old man falls asleep. The dance goes on and on.
Musicians: Chorus: Oh protect me from a horrible deathless body, oh God, sliding through my crimson veins.
Musician: Speaking: The madness as got a hold of him lock stock and bitter soul, for he rises to his feet.
Santa: Run where you will, bird, you will be soon perched upon my wrist.
    [The dance goes on]
Musician: Speaking: Look, the plash’ the brew is bubbling red, look, look, he has turned his head.
[Santa drops his spear and falls hypnotically into a dream state.]
Musicians: He has lost what may not be found, O’ holy consciousness, till men dig his merry burial mound, and all history ends, again, living at ease with his dog’s head on his knees, among his children and friends.
[the old shaman creeps up to the well]
Shaman: Accursed shadows have deluded me, stones are dark but the well is empty. The water brewed and flowed and emptied while I slept. Accursed dancers you have stolen my life, that there should be such evil in a shadow.
Santa: She has fled me and hidden in the wondering rocks.
Shaman: She has led you from the fountain, Look! Stones and leaves are dark and wet, but not a drop to drink, just our sweat.
musicians: Shriek “Aoife! Aoife! And strike the gong.
Santa: What are those cries? What sound from the hill, who beat swords on shields like that?
Shaman: She has roused up fierce women of the hills, Aoife, and her troop, to take your life, and never till you are lying in the earth can you know rest.
Santa: The clash of arms, to battle and war, again!
Shaman: Oh, do not go, the mountain is accursed, stay with me, I do not now deceive you.
    Santa: I will face them.
[Santa shakes himself from dream state, shakes his spear and calls]
    [Folding of the cloth ceremony]
Musicians: I am but a mouthful of air. A mouthful of air. I am but a mouthful, of, air. I am, but, a mouthful of air, I am but a mouthful of air. Who but an idiot would praise a withered tree? Who but an idiot would praise dry stones in a well, come now, I praise humanity that cries 'synergy'. I am but a mouthful of air.
[Songs for the unfolding and folding of the cloth]
Come to me, human face books,
    Familiar memories;
    I have found hateful eyes
Among the desolate places of google
    Unfaltering, unmoistened eye.
    Folly alone I cherish,
I choose it for my share
Being but a mouthful of air,
    I am content to perish;
I am but a mouthful of Sweet aerosol.
    O lamentable turntable shadows,
    Obscurity of strife!
    I choose a pleasant life
    Among indolent meadows;
Wisdoom must live a bitter life.
(Then they fold up the cloth, singing)
    "The humanity that I praise,"
    Cries out the empty well,
    "Lives all days
Where a hand on the bell
Can call the abundance of nature
To the comfortable door of his house.
Who but an idiot would praise
    Dry stones in a oil-well?
    "The humanity that I praise,"
    Cry out the leafless tree,
    "Has married the elements
    Of an old earth,
Kept well and set store for children.
The Humanity I praise cries 'synergy'
Who but an idiot would praise
    A withered tree?"
[Guardian, Shaman, Santa and musicians go out]
    TOC-FLASH-BACK-1FLASH BACK #1
    (THE BARN HOUSE)
    OX – ‘Santa’
    CAMEL - 'Shaman'
SERPENT – ‘Hawk Guardian of the well’
The Ox (Aphle) entered the old barn house(Beth), followed by his sleigh master. The camel(Gimel), who both entered through the front door(Daleth), and leave, after eating some fresh berries and various dainties, out the window(He). The Ox painfully scratching his leg on a nail(Vau) protruding out from the window frame, that he thought of as using as another weapon(Zayin) to add to his assortment lying outside in the garden enclosure(Cheth). A serpent's(Teth) clawed hand (I Yod) holds an Oxgoad(Lamed) in the oil-well(Mem), where salmon fish(Nun) support(Samekh) it. (The camel-steersman faces the serpent in the Old garden). First the eye(Qoph), then the mouth(Pe) are pierced by a fishing hook(Tzaddi), unleashed by the Hawk-Serpent which then moves into the back of the Camels head(Resh), removes the head like a Marshmallow, and finally the hook pops out of the front tooth (Shin). The Ox makes the sign of the cross (Th Tau), The pentagram and the Hexagram and goes into a ‘Christmas Spasm’ his one eye popping out, his hair turning to sea urchin spikes, and all his veins and skin turn rigid and tuff like leather, but the fury and strength of ‘Santa Claws’ still could not touch the Serpent Hawk that simply changed shape whenever ‘Santa’ did strike with his most powerful weapons.

Robert Anton Wilson went out through the wall into the fire, into the simultaneous parity of eternity, into the splendid timeless fanfare of a life that he has somehow managed to survive, with 35 books weaving his idea in their spectacular diversity, weaving his luminescent consciousness into the intellectual DNA of our painfully slow developing society, and dancing somewhere with his wife, back when he could still dance, and she was still alive."--Alan Moore

"The greatest of all crimes are the wars that are carried on by governments, to plunder, enslave, and destroy mankind. The next greatest crimes committed in the world are equally prompted by avarice and ambition; and are committed, not on sudden passion, but by men of calculation, who keep their heads cool and clear, and who have no thought whatever of going to prison for them. They are committed, not so much by men who violate the laws, as by men who, either by themselves or by their instruments, make the laws; by men who have combined to usurp arbitrary power, and to maintain it by force and fraud, and whose purpose in usurping and maintaining it is by unjust and unequal legislation, to secure to themselves such advantages and monopolies as will enable them to control and extort the labor and properties of other men, and thus impoverish them, in order to minister to their own wealth and aggrandizement. The robberies and wrongs thus committed by these men, in conformity with the laws,--- that is, their own laws ---are as mountains to molehills, compared with the crimes committed by all other criminals, in violation of the laws. --Lysander Spooner

"What amazes me most is the piss police. "Maybe Logic is a label that got stuck on my ideas by filmmaker Lance Bauscher. I decided it fits. I certainly recognize the central importance in my thinking -- or in my stumbling and fumbling efforts to think -- of non-Aristotelian systems. That includes von Neumann's three-valued logic [true, false, maybe], Rappoport's four-valued logic [true, false, indeterminate, meaningless], Korzybski's multi-valued logic [degrees of probability.] and also Mahayana Buddhist paradoxical logic [it "is" A. it "is" not A, it "is" both A and not A, it "is" neither A nor not A]. But, as an extraordinarily stupid fellow, I can't use such systems until I reduce them to terms a simple mind like mine can handle, so I just preach that we'd all think and act more sanely if we had to use "maybe" a lot more often. Can you imagine a world with Jerry Falwell hollering "Maybe Jesus 'was' the son of God and maybe he hates Gay people as much as I do" -- or every tower in Islam resounding with "There 'is' no God except maybe Allah and maybe Mohammed is his prophet"?
The Snafu law holds that, the greater your power to punish, the less factual feedback you will receive. If you can fire people for telling you what you don't want to hear, you will only hear what you want. This law seems to apply to all authoritarian contraptions, especially governments and corporations. Concretely, I suspect Bozo knows factually less about the world than any dogcatcher in Biloxi. The Cosmic Schmuck law holds that [1] the more often you suspect you may be thinking or acting like a Cosmic Schmuck, the less of a Cosmic Schmuck you will become, year by year, and [2] if you never suspect you might think or act like a Cosmic Schmuck, you will remain a Cosmic Schmuck for life." --RAW

    Food Fight
    By Fly Agaric 23
The elliptical Ravioli hit Bob's Funny Bone with a phlump. Bob was already laughing like a blunted Buddha, while blinded by the blue cheese, mushrooms, pumpkin, artichoke and Tomato sauce glossing his facial features and beard like chunks of JFK's noggin' when Hugh Montague probably gave the go ahead to the Dealy Lama.
Bob's Hand pushed down on snake shaped latch firing the Lasagna cannon. Droplets of the rusty red tomato sauce spraying Bob's beard again, as the lasagna levitated skyward. Kurt is at the other end of the kitchen peeping through his extraordinarily decorated periscope next to the cooker.
    "Lasagna" cheers Bob, rejoycing.
"Ravioli" Kurt replies with a roar, firing his ravioli catapult while thinking how Bob's face looked like some kind of wombat that had been feeding on red fruit, covered in all that Ravioli and sauce.
    "Lasagna!"
"Keep the Lasagna levitating." sings Bob to the tune of Auld Lang Syne and licking his red lips with glee like a cat licking cream off his long whiskers.
"Keep the Ravioli in Orbit. So it goes and goes." Kurt echoed with a passionate and equal sincerity.
Leaning in through the Kitchen window, looking over Bob's shoulder, Norman hands Bob a Mouth Organ with a note attached that reads:
    'Lasagna' derived from the Greek.
    'Lasanon' meaning 'chamber pot'
'Ravioli' from Italian verb 'Ravvolgere' meaning 'to wrap'
    'Lasagne al forno' - oven-cooked Lasagne.--Norman M.
Kurt notices Norman's multi colored T-shirt that reads: "Auld Lasagna!...established by Francisco di Marco of Prato: 1408 e.v.
"Oh, to be outside this kitchen with Norman! Spinach and minced meat in myface and these Lasagna projectiles are hot as hell." Kurt bawled, wiping Bob's sauce from his lovley big droopy eyes.
"Loseyns' Trajectories Modified, Commence launch. RAW Lasagna!" Bob said, with a nasal accent satirizing some strange mission control centre.
Kurt watches Bob entertaining himself, covered in cheese n' spinach, Tomato and pasta flakes, laughing in the slime, playful like a free infant.
"Chinese ravioli and tortellini collectively, are often referred to as Italian jiaozi, according to uncle EZ." Bob said, with bad Santa's smile.
"A Sufi that i once met called ravioli manti, Chogyam Trungpa refers to them as Momo, Ginsberg told me about the Jewish Kreplach, and Schroedinger called em Maultaschen." Bob added. Kurt and Norman both watching the Ravioli sauce dripping off his chin like luminescent volcanic lavafalls.
Bob moves his fingers from the catapult latch and quickly wipes the cosmic ragu debris from his chin and beard again as if psychically responding to Kurt's observation. Kurt looked like he'd seen ghost and Bob looked like a cross between a Chinese Mystic and an auld Irish Bard from Siriusauce.

'Reality it is not I who am writing this crazy book," said Joyce of Finnegans Wake. "It is you, and you, and you, and that man over there, and that girl at the next table." Hugh Kenner, The Pound Era, Page 126
The late great Hugh kenner (1932-2003) in his book "Joyce's Voice's" creates something he calls The Uncle Charles Principle, so called in honor of the "naming" pipe smoking, uncle who sat on his arbor or "shitter'", in James Joyce's early master work "A Portrait of the Artist As A Young Man":
'Every morning, therefore, Uncle Charles repaired to his outhouse, but not before he had greased and brushed scrupulously his back hair and brushed and put on his tall hat." --James Joyce, Portrait of the Artist.
In Robert Anton Wilson's book Coincidance: a kind of readers guide to James Joyce, Bob describes and exhibits the "Uncle Charles Principle" . Dr. Wilson's gives off an aura of the "UCP" with his vivid reflections and methods for teaching - communicating - theories synthesized from such great complex minds as David Bohm, Alfred Korzybski, Giordano Bruno, Timothy Leary and 10'00 more Illuminated humanitarians - those who incorporated some version of the hologrammic principle in their individual and particular systems - scaffolded - into fantastically condensed essays by uncle Bob. The Title of the book "Coincidance" is taken from the text of Finnegans Wake itself.
Part:1 Episode:3 Page:49, "Now let the centuple celves of my egourge as Micholas de Cusack calls them, -- of all of whose I in my hereinafter of course by recourse demission me -- by the coincidance of their contraries reamalgamerge in that indentity"
In Coincidance roughly a quarter way through the book in a chapter titled "Death and Absence in James Joyce" RAW writes: "As Richard Ellman has noted Joyce was no man to back down from a paradox, and two of the stories in his first book of fiction, Dubliners, seem indeed to drive home the points that Death and absence can be higher and more beautiful than life and presence."
If the Narrative idiom need not be the narrator's then the question who is writing begins to crumble into many other fragments, layers of voices, some very faint but familiar, some Loud and unpredictable dynamic and haunting, brilliant and highly entertaining. Illuminatus! Trilogy by RAW and Robert Shea includes many characters who also seem to often display spooky quantum-jumping consciousness. They have narrative affinities with the other scripted actors in motion, but not necessarily all the scripted characters in a particular scene. Illuminatus has many thousands of ghosts in its machine. Sombunal scripted narrative affinities.
Hugh Kenner says that "To wonder what "literally" may mean is the fear of the Word and the beginning of reading. - RAW
"Reality, Joyce learned early, does not answer to the point of view, the monocular vision, the single ascertainable tone. A tone, a voice, is somebody's, a person's, and people are confined to being themselves, are Evelines, are Croftons, are Stephens. "Some of my methods," Joyce later said, "are trivial; and some are quadrivial." At the very least, on the model of two-eyed men, reality exacted a doubling: in the earlier fictions, a double attitude, which Ulysses divides into a double narrator of whom one member has a repertory of impersonations. - Hugh Kenner, Beyond Objectivity, Joyce's Voices.
Robert Anton Wilson synthesized Pound and Joyce together in his class"The Tale of The Tribe", and shown us that the poets become united in their goals of revolutionizing the word with their RAW genius, but they seemed to create entirely different systems for accomplishing this. As the theories of Waves and particles can both be used to describe light. Stoned, I have often read page after page from the Wake starting from roughly the center of the page and then, reading off in all directions, and reading back again, looking from all quarters. Kenner simplifies the Uncle Charles Principle to: "The Narrative idiom need not be the narrator's." and so i figured that reading in different directions would produce different narrative points of view, in Ulysses Joyce often creates a sort of palindrome effect by manifesting a cloud of idioms, a bunch of folks who could be managing the narrative, slightly.
"It is difficult to reason in terms of animals' states of consciousness. Anthropocentric as we are, we are used to negating any form of consciousness at all in other species, especially in the lower orders of animals. Orthodox scientific thought is permeated by the philosophical dogma known as behaviorism, which excludes the possibility of thought of any kind in the animal kingdom. - Giorgio Samorini, Animals and Psychedelics.
So when I'm looking for a chemical biological metaphor that might add to communicating something resembling the "Uncle Charles Principle" now remixed to become the "Uncle BOB principle", insects and their chemical communication networks, for the most part invisible to our human senses, but yet perceptible to other "insect" consciousness? The narrator as a "fly" on the wall. And so Illuminatus like Finnegans Wake in some respects, is like an alphabetical symbolic Zoo, a roving state circus of perceptive consciousness, everyman, without becoming bound by seeing from the point of view of just one species all the time.
Eulaesa, Euplusia, and Euglossa bees carve scratches into the flowers of these orchids, through which the liquid perfume seeps out. The bees then absorb it through their hind feet. These insects return time and time again to the scratches they have cutinto the flowers and are consequently clumsy in their movements, which has been interpreted to be the result of narcosis (Dodson 1962) - Animals And Psychedelics, page 6.
I propose that the mysterious phenomena of animals drugging themselves will raise similar questions as we would ask about the "Uncle Charles" type phenomena, the invisible all-connecting theory or GUCT as i am calling IT, but here, applied to literature, texts, and so maybe the scientific categorical identity of a specific chemical compound, its GCAT poem. Plus the pheremonal relationships and biological information transformations between species and then, to further complex the complex, their interrelated networking between themselves as a community and then also their networking with other species too. Interspecies communications. The blueprints of a not too distant more "Greening", more telepathic type of global internet. No wires, no conventional hardware, no conventional power supply required. Just some special plants and elixirs. We technopagans are fully equipped with fine-tuned sensory apparatus, and experience with these Ultra-Highways and prepared to interact with the required mediums of communication. What we require are translators. GUCT is such a device. An approach towards better solutions and/or framework s from which to hang my questions about the nature of reality, consciousness, and language. Here for example are some collected constants produced by all sorts of hallucinogens.
    1) Bright pulsating light
    2) Images of tunnels and/or tubes
    3) Varied but intense colors
    4) Rotating or spiraling images
    5) Geometric patterns
    6) Erratic moment of imagery
    7) Subject becoming part of imagery or participating in the experience
    8) Multiple "TV screens" often displaying autobiographical data
    9) Integration of memories into the experience
    10) Various "complex imagery" (i.e., recognizable (often cartoon-like) human, animal and other forms) --Categorized by Ronald K. Siegal.
These constants strike me as sounding a bit like primitive descriptions of Telepathic Internet but biased to the human sensory apparatus, and feature classic "Alien" experiences. Maybe to a fish or a toad these experiences are part of their waking reality, who knows the contents of the mind of nature from the perspective of a toad? consider this question in the context of pharmacology, a toad may have all sorts of useful applications with his or her built inn, chemical factory and their fascinating genetic inform, But to access this hidden archive of conscious experience you must enter the kind of thing that i mean by Toad consciousness, or the realms of animal cognition and plant cognition. To humble yourself, first, to nature and the animal and plant kingdoms. Watch Planet earth and Smoke a joint. Its helpful i think to remind the reader of the distinctions associated with some ideas of Alfred Korzybski. Plants are energy-binding systems and generally ignore each other, animals are Space + energy-binding systems and generally utilize movement with 3 dimensional cognitive functions, and then humans are Time + space + energy-binding systems, and so our general purpose is to synergize. GUCT aims to sinnerjizz. Is there an absence of Time paradox? In a similar way to how semiotics demands an entirely new way of reading and a whole new reality, as does mimetics? Finnegans Wake and the Cantos and Illuminatus? GUCT requires something exemplified, here, now, in the literal, textual time-travel of "future perfect passive tense" delightfully described by Eric Wagner in his wonderful teaching, Hokium Pokium:
You put the verb stem in
    you take the ending out
you put the future tense of sum in & you shake it all about
    you add the adjective ending
in concord with number & person
That's the future perfect passive tense. - Eric Wagner, Maybelogic Quarterly Issue one.
The Grand UNKLE Principle seems to be a hallmark of both the fictional writings and the absent "term" peripharalized by "a walking one-man syllabus of Western civilization." as Dr. John Lilly once called Dr. Wilson and so IT shall be called the Uncle "Bob" principle. Bob was often kindly referred to by friends and associates as uncle Bob and Ezra Pound was often called Uncle Ez by uncle RAW during the Maybelogic Academy classes, this makes for a nice triple "Uncle" compound for Joyce/Pound/Wilson. U.N.K.L.E? " It seems that James Joyce, Hugh Kenner, Robert Anton Wilson, and the other proponents of the "Uncle Charles Principle", Infinite Jesters, and Zen Bastards, tricksters etc.; invisible phantoms and the sort of romantic 'feeling' that something is looking over your shoulder, watching, narrating, writing you. well It maybe present everywhere, narrating like the mystics have said of it. But the word for "IT" circumnavigates itself creating a field. I digress. GUCT: A field of observers, a circle of onlookers, all dressed in different costume, with different accents and mannerisms, from different continents and cultures. A kind of historical haunting, an electromagnetic haunting entity, spooky in its invisible beauty, a whispering ghost, a congealed conspiracy cloud. Contact and connection with disembodied intelligence, extraterrestrial contact, the narrator behind each synchronicity that you experience. A bit like what Philip K. Dick describes as VALIS. The doubling of experience. Remembering ring. A repeating perception of a repeating event. again.

The tale of the tribe & The Network. 2010.
The tale of the tribe must be a connected network, otherwise it is useless. A new team of nodal points, shared swarms that link together.
The goal of a hologrammic network, a poem, novel, screenplay, album, of overlapping functions and principles.
The triple spiral symbolizes the rotational and spiral nature of the connected works of Dr. Robert Anton Wilson. Vico and Joyce and Nietzsche feed off the spiraling principles of recorsi. Giordano Bruno and his "Memory Wheels" plus Giambattista Vico and his "Cycles of Ages", Frederich Nietzsche and the "Eternal Return", Ernest Fenollosa and the omni-directional radiance of "Chinese Symbolism", William Butler Yeats and his dynamic "Gyres" and "Unity of Being" and 'Symbolism', Ezra Pound and his "Revolutionary Calendar" and 'Ideogramic method of juxtaposition', James Joyce and his spiral powered "coincidance of contraries & resolution of opposites", Buckminster Fuller and the moving "Synergistic" principles. Meanwhile Alfred Korzybski and his "General Semantics", Marshall McLuhan and his "Global Village Tribes", Orson Welles and his "Neurological Cinematic Relativity", Claude Shannon and "Information Theory" and other recurring geniuses and their additional contributions to humanity intersect with connecting threads represented by Dr. Wilson. In my opionion at their most potent when writing on Joyce.
The Celtic spiral also reminds us of RAWs Irish heritage, by way of his famous silver spiral ring, and his great contributions to scholarship concerning literature, history, language and logic. Arlan and Bob lived together in Dublin, Ireland between 1982 and 1988 during which time he read the complete works of Johnathan Swift, and polished up on his study of Synge, O' Brien, Yeats, and his beloved James Joyce while writing hundreds of comprehensive articles and six books.
I once heard RAW refer to his book "The Widows Son" that he wrote in Ireland, as a personal favorite of his due to him feeling really 'hot' when he wrote that one. I feel that the great celtic influences on the classic Irish Fairy Tales and folk tales help to distinguish the kind of "tale" we might be looking for in a search for understanding the 'tale' of a tale of the tribe. Swifts early work "The Tale of A Tub" for example, crosses paths in a literal sense with our subject, and Joyce hypertextualizes much Swift in the Wake, or Swift hypertextualizes Joyce?
Maybe, if one were to associate 'Joyce and Yeats' with the word "Tale" (to denote the Irish literary duo), then we can balance the equation with Ezra Pound and Marshall McLuhan, helping us define the "tribe" half of the statement: "Tale of the Tribe".
The Tale involves the multiple points of view and literary devices of a master, the subtle imitations of common speech, space-time continuity and hologrammic architectural oversight (Portrait of the Artist, Ulysses, Finnegans Wake) to use the example of Joyce: the master of manufacturing moments of epiphany in a tale, a drunken shout in the Street. The tale reaches back to Homer's Odyssey, and still further around the camp fires and early dwellings of early hominids developing language and story; a way to bring several things together into a single moment of comprehension.
The tale exhibits added ambiguity close with that associated with myths where the questions about 'truth and reality' remain in a playful maybe state of ambiguity, rather than being a part of the fossil record or confined to a chronological historical prison. The play tale seems to be close in meaning to the parable or Zen like Koan utilized throughout various wisdom schools, thinking exercises and teaching tools for fools.
The tribe, on the other side of the equation which I have divided up, for the sake of some comparative study, seems to denote a designated group of people defined by their culture, language and group activity. The Speech of the Tribe might be different to the speech of the tale, in that the tribal speech generalizes subjective tales into doctrine and common laws, group contracts and constitutions, with wide variations. The speech of the tribe, in this model, aims to inform the populace with a general Unified theory of axioms, whereas the 'tale' type of speech, aims to correlate personal experience on the psychological realm of inner space, the anecdotal "Tale".
Tale and Tribe. Individual and state. Eccentric and Concentric?
The values and qualities that I propose here are interchangeable and both Joyce and Pound figured out a new form of language and a new form of writing to present a new tale/tribe speech. Combining many styles and techniques and languages together, sifting a successful synthesis and probably the two greatest works of literature of the 20th' century according to RAW, and I must concur. Finnegans Wake by Joyce and The Cantos by Pound remain cornerstone's of the human condition and so multicultural 'tale's of the tribe!
Nicholas of Cusa emerges as an important node in the tale of the tribe, he influenced Vico and so Joyce. I have taken the tale of the tribe literally and over the last 2 years constructed a fictional Universe next door to the Universe in the year 1936. I have populated the spacetime with some but not all of the RAW TTOTT tribe, in the context of a daring plot to avoid the Second World War.
This 'Tale' called "Our Histories Back" seemed like the only way for me to present both aspects of the the tale of the tribe, or two aspects of a multiplicity of aspects; the Novel including history, and the Long Poem.
My long poem under construction is now titled Shannanigums Wave and contains links with OHB. Together both books are a part of my on-going research into the 'tale of the tribe', and an example of my own interpretations and shared feedback now bound into book, made available through an on-line book publisher called lulu.com, if you want it.
    WHAT IS OPEN SOURCE HISTORY?
When your internet connection is blocked by Big Brother and your political representatives are agents of fundamental materialism or religious dogma, an apocalypse might simply be defined as the open source revolution, and not such a bad thing after all.

A new paradigm dawns, where after Religion, Intelligence, Economics, Law, Government and Community will be transformed utterly terribly fast, quickly unrecognizable to us in 2010, invisible, uncertain, just.

Open Source History is an attempt to create an Open Source Code for shared history. A Magick Ritual and spell code enabling ‘everyware’ access to historical information.
Simply saying the right words in the correct order and following the meditational visualization process in detail will reveal the means to travel spacetime. No rocket boosters or atom smashers required.

While OSH was under development in Europe some remarkable properties of the code emerged that dragged the software developers through a ‘portal’ in space-time, to mean they stopped work on the software programme and began writing a Novel screenplay titled ‘Our Histories Back’; a prototype demonstration of Open Source History.

The interactive historical process shared textually is crafted and engineered by Science Fiction characters, communicating backwards and forwards through timespace, using ‘Open Source History’ coded information.
Some of the Science Fictionists are a living a little in the future, some in the past, yet those in the past are anchored there by sharing characteristics with ‘craddle to grave’ critters that lived and breathed on planet earth to distinguish humanity from the apes with sculpted solutions to help unlock this ‘Open Source’ information revolution.

Taking the 100 year window from 1912 to 2012 and stopping off in 1936, ‘Open Source History’ balances the equation between past, present and future states by presenting a holographic quasi-state, past, present and future all-at-once, or Science Fiction prose.
Open Source History can be modelled using an Icosahedron and a dodecahedron to show how we can move from the year 2012 to 2020, or 12 sides and 20 vertices to 20 sides and 12 vertices.
This geometrical inverse demonstrates the holographic component to the text (resolution of opposites) and the past, future transformations inherent in the Magick code. Some specially crafted ‘geometrical objects’ are integral to the Magick ritual required to ‘open source’ the infinite temple of information processing.
OSH is a textual singularity, a holographic science fictional Universe, birthed when the principles of open source community, feedback and collaboration bootstrap themselves throughout all human culture as we know it, and we all enter the Global Village as history professors of our shared experience.
Open Source History may also be a vehicle for extraterrestrial intelligences to gather themselves and collaborate with human endeavours to make sense of the past, present, future. In fact the Rituals and Spells are loosely based upon those developed by early E.T researchers such as Giordano Bruno, John Dee and Aleister Crowley.

Open Source History is an open Science fiction investigation into the tale of the open source tribe, or those characters and their corresponding principles that built sharing tools and humanitarian models, both hardware and software, to further communication collaboration and the conspiracy of being or ‘COB’.
OHB is a precise timespace vehicle, disguised as a Novel Screenplay to pinpoint the co-ordinates of the great conspiracy, where these characters meet one another and share ideas, back in 1936 and so speed up the evolution of humanity and lead us into a freetopian’ multiverse where History fragments and dissolves into different pieces, moving at different speeds and under the influence of different forces and conditions, like the eddies and swirls we may observe within a flowing river.
OSX: THE TALE OF THE TRIBETABLE v2
Experiments are conducted in 2012 and result in a tale following a tribe of revolutionary scientists, philosophers and humanitarian poets during 48 hours in 1936 that change the course of human history.

On the evening of the 3st of July, Orson Welles is the prodigal genius that has taken New York by storm with his Voodoo ‘Mcgraff’ theatre production at the ‘Appollodelphi’ theatre featuring an all black cast with African drummers and Voodoo priestesses from Haiti. Present at the show are Buckminster Fuller, Claude Shannon and Alfred Korzybski who shares thoughts on the performance, while discussing information theory and synergetic linguistics.

The same evening, Ezra Pound is directing a performance in Rapallo, Italy, where he is joined by William Butler Yeats and James Joyce to bring about a European Renaissance in music, poetry and social happening. The Baroque and Roll concert takes place at the Rapallo theatre and is full of poets, painters, musicians, sculptors, and magicians united in bringing about a new age of art and crafts.

The following day Pound, Yeats and Joyce make a daring journey by train to Berlin and the opening of the Olympic Games where they find themselves at the centre of an international drugs and weapon’s trade conspiracy between Germen, English, American and Russian officials. After a harrowing experience in the Nazi lair beneath the swimming pool our hero’s manage to break free and make their way to the T.V and Radio broadcast studios where they perform a breathtaking poem dedicated to all humanity, after a slight scuffle with the BBC, CBS, RTL and other broadcasters they escape with assistance from Marshall McLuhan, back to the relative safety of Rapallo.

Some thoughts on RAW studies and finding a side-door entrance to the UK curriculum and the European market stall’ at the Global village.
I think RAW respected the multiculturalism, pantheism and diversity of languages and ideas of the quality critters he often referred to. Pound, Joyce, Yeats, Bruno, Vico, and Fenollosa were scribes for the McLuhan’s ‘global village’. And as I mentioned, therefore against British imperialism and the centralized control of institutions, banking, education, politics, weapons, advertising.
RAW deploys ‘decentralized’ philosophy (Bruno, Joyce, Paul Levinson?) that we can trace through his fiction, his ‘holographic prose’, his speech, and through his life lived as a truly independent scholar activist journalist philosopher...

The study of Internet and Information technology, telecommunications etc,. Seems all the rage at the major learning institutions around the world, yet, where can you study ‘the tale of the tribe’? RAW’s history of ‘decentralized philosophy, and design science principles, and Neuro-linguistic relativism’ maybe one way to view it? What do Bucky, Shannon, Wiener, McLuhan... and Internet have in common?

Sharing, and the rare ability to share personal experience with a scientific method of observation, or methods, plural, maybe another thorn in RAW’s side when it comes to the education business, where text books and course work feed the Industry standards in the grey room.
‘think for yer’ self’ schmuck’ combined with ‘think for yourself, and question authority’ combined with the ‘free’ shared availability of RAW’s course work may lead to a sticky situation for many faculty staff and department heads, at some future juncture where ‘everything changes’ so obviously that only RAW and a few others will have remained weird enough to stay relative in a ‘exponentially changing’ seemingly psychedelic shared experience.

Or maybe I am dreaming and have cut myself off to live out an Invisible college’ fantasy, and to forever be stuck apart from any Institution, so to develop my independent feedback? Stephen in self inflicted Exile? A romantic, maverick, ? Whatever, with global internet communications we can all live as one University, if you like, as Wikipedia is now One university of one type of knowledge...and the power of connectivity and sharing across cultures far out reaches that of any single Institution of single corporate, sovereign entity. I think their definition as a finite entity bounds them, in many ways, whereas the Network seems to be king, not content, or cash or weapons stash. All has Changed and changed utterly’
Another of RAW’s unique and testable strokes of genius is to source and reference masses of academic material that now, due to internet search engines can still, and often does for me, turn up treasures in all sorts of nooks and cranniz’ take Ernest Fenollosa for example, I find the Fenollosa/Pound/Yeats synergy (founded in London when Mary McNeil Fenollosa passed on her late husbands notes to Ez, who was living with Yeats at the time) to be critical to the whole field of modernism, Post modernism, linguistics etc,. And have been surprised to have not found RAW anywhere in the published literature on this subject.

Here’s a little anecdotal example of my efforts to fwd/ RAW in the UK during the summer of 2006. I was invited by the SDP (who I bumped into on the street in Birmingham) to MARXISM’ a week-long conference held a University London, featuring many speakers on varied topics, all with a socialist and pretty political oriented glossing.
While on the Uni’ campus, I tried walking into SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies) with the express vision of turning somebody onto RAW’s interpretation of the Fenollosa’ manuscripts etc. But, I could not even get in the door past security, sorry son, you have to have an appointment. I did however get up and speak at a number of presentations, one time reading a full chapter from the Illuminati Papers, in a weak lecture on science fiction and social activism, I thought it was weak as the guy had not even heard of RAW... but the dialectic was all over the place. Book stands were lined up with Chomsky, Zinn, Parenti, George G, Tony Benn, Che’, Banksy and Hakim Bey, but alas uncle Bob was suspiciously absent, or, I was too stoned to see his books amidst all sea TEXTZ on resistance and revolution, although I did find him in the Disinfo’ book ‘Everything you know is wrong’
So I came away from Marxism 2006 a bit miffed, but still had a fun time and met many like-minded individuals who were visiting the event, and even liked the lecturers and speakers, maybe for their rhythm and prowess on the microphone, George G. And Tony Benn are powerful orators, but, I found the Respect party and the SDP to be riddled with the same trappings as the other political alternatives like Labour and Conservative and the Liberal party, besides the obvious differences such as perceptions on foreign policy and the wars Britain is fighting, I noticed a very similar use of speech, the rhythm of the rally and the ‘Fidel’ like punch of words to shake up the masses. I enjoy the music and power of these performances, but again feel that RAW’s witty, scholarly and optimistic way of doing this would be far more effective, yes, surprise equals information.
The path to Peace is as much a labyrinth of ambiguity as the roadway to war, and I find the compressed dialectic of Joyce and RAW at least two models of a supreme Unity, by way of the Unity of opposites, producing a witty truth, unequalled anywhere else, outside of witty and wise fiction like Tom Robbins, or great satire like that of Will Self. But RAW combines that Celtic Twist’ or (spiral) with operationalist scientific methodological research language, practical Magick and psychoactive drug experimentation, and contact with Daoist, Zen, and Sufi masters over a period of 50 years... all big plus points from my perspective that give RAW a street credibility and I would have thought massive underground and activist following?
